Welding Services
General Welding

Fabrication
As a machining company that specializes in serving the oil and gas industry, we offer fabrication services to meet the unique needs of this demanding sector. Fabrication consists of producing objects and parts from raw materials, like sheet metal for example. Metal fabrication includes techniques such as bending, punching, cutting, and welding.
Heavy Equipment Repair

Flange and Valve Modifications
Flange Radiusing
We can quickly and cost-effectively contour the bores of your flanges to create a smooth transition, preventing damage to your sensitive liners. Our team of skilled machinists process your flanges in record time.
Porting / Taping
One of our specialties is Porting & Taping. This service involves porting the flanges of valves to allow flowback of trapped fluid. Our team of skilled machinists uses their 35+ years of expertise to ensure precision and accuracy in every job. Whether you need a simple tapped blind flange or a more complex multi-angle porting service, we have the expertise to get the job done right.
Carbiding / Brazing
Mill Design and Manufacturing
We build custom fishing and plug mills that are tailored to your specific needs. From design to carbide to finished product; we do complete mill builds and have the expertise and equipment needed to handle all your challenges and deliver a high-quality product that meets your needs.
Shoe Redressing
We offer shoe redressing services and can repair or modify shoes with cutlips, sawtooths, additional pads, wires and/or indicators, inserted faces, dimples, and v-barbs. We are capable of grinding the OD (outside diameter) and the ID (inside diameter).
Mill Redressing
We can do types of mill redressing. From application specific fishing mills to high-ROP plug mills we have the experience and knowledge to optimize the performance of your drilling tools.
Mill Grinding
We are capable of handling large tools with our 8 in bore, 40 in long cylindrical grinder. Our equipment can handle grinding carbide tools, steel tools, and DLC tools. After hours call-in services are available.

Matthew Runhart
Manager
Matthew is a self-taught machinist who built his first CNC milling machine at the young age of 14. He went from running it in his bedroom to eventually running a full machine shop. Matthew enjoys applying his critical thinking and problem-solving skills while working through the challenges of designing and creating something new and complex. He has been involved in the manufacturing industry for the past 15+ years and further progresses his knowledge every day. At Terra Machine Matthew is able to be in his element and pursue his passion daily.
John Perry
Business & Development
John moved to Alberta in 2005 and started his career in the Oil & Gas Industry. After the birth of his first daughter in 2017, he decided working away from home was no longer an option. To be closer to home and his family, John began working in a management role in 2019, and as a result, he began to build a network of business contacts. Meeting Matt gave John the opportunity to diversify and start something of his own. John is proud to be a part of Terra Machine and of the local work they do, by supporting the machining needs of the oil, farming, and forestry industries.
Chris Campbell
Fabrication & Welding Supervisor
Chris moved to Grande Prairie in 2004 and after being a welders helper, he became a welder himself. Chris was a natural when it came to welding and accelerated quickly within his company. Always striving to increase his knowledge, Chris was able to gain his B-Pressure Welders Certificate, his Stainless Steel and Tig Welding Certificates, as well as become CWB Supervisor accredited. Currently Chris has over 17 years of fabrication and welding experience, and has supervised crews of up to 40 people. When Chris isn’t in the shop he enjoys relaxing with his two boys, camping, and anything else outdoors.
